NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY, THE YEAR 2023 APPRAISAL FORM 

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) was set up on February 5, 1964, to train soldiers for the Nigerian Armed Forces. This was done to meet the defense needs of an independent Nigeria. Before that, it was called the Royal Military Forces Training College, or RMFTC. It was called the Nigerian Military Training College after Nigeria got its freedom in 1960.


HEADQUARTERS NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY

This is where the NDA's business is run. It is run by the Commandant, who answers to the NDA Council, which is led by the Minister of Defense. Major General IM Yusuf is in charge of NDA right now. The Deputy Commandant helps the Commandant make sure that general rules and training are followed. AVM OR ABIDOYE is the Director of Studies and the Deputy Commandant at the moment. Part of the offices are the Adjutant, the Assistant Adjutant, and the Academy RSM.


 

OUR VISION

The goal of the NDA is to give officers a wide range of training in both military and academic topics. This training is meant to lay the groundwork for the future development of officers in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Through military, academic, and character development, the goal of NDA is to give each officer cadet the information, skills, and values they need to be a good military officer.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) was set up on February 5, 1964, to train soldiers for the Armed Forces of Nigeria. This was done to meet the defense needs of an independent Nigeria. Before that, it was called the Royal Military Forces Training College, or RMFTC. It was called the Nigerian Military Training College after Nigeria got its freedom in 1960.


The Academy's job is to help each officer cadet get the information, skills, and values they need to do their job as a military officer. This is done through military, academic, and character training. In essence, the NDA is a place where young men and women who are healthy and able to work are trained to be brave, smart, and strong subalterns.
