How To Check JAMB Matriculation List On JAMB Portal 2023
The joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Matriculation list is a new way for JAMB to make sure that all schools in Nigeria that admit students for the 2022-2023 session are doing so legally.
The new report says that JAMB will now be putting out the matriculation list. Whoever's name isn't on the list hasn't been accepted into his or her university, so that person isn't a Nigerian student. And anyone who goes to school anyway won't finish and won't be called up for NYSC.
How to Check Your Name on the JAMB List
Here are the steps to check your name on the JAMB entrance list on the JAMB portal:
1. Visit https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/checkmatriculationlist on JAMB Portal
2. Choose the year of your test and enter your JAMB number.
3. Click "get my information"
4. Once that's done, it will show if your name is on the JAMB list, along with the name of your school and the course you're taking.
For instance, when a student checks his status on the JAMB matriculation list, his status says "You are Not on the Matriculation List, Please Print your Result Slip and Admission Letter Online" (see picture below). If not, it will show that your name is on the list.
Important Notice
You should make sure that your name is on the admission list. Only people whose names are on this list are considered to be real students from the different recognized schools.
If your name isn't on this list, it means that your application to the NYSC plan for the one-year National service will be turned down.
JAMB regularization is what you have to do if your name is not on the list. This is a way to prove that you were admitted even though it wasn't from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. Students who fall into this group:
1. Those who don't have a JAMB number
2. Students who haven't been given a letter of acceptance
3. Students whose acceptance letters list a name or course from a different school than the school that gave them admission.
