The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowships Program is looking for Canadian students to apply for the academic year 2022-2023. The scholarship is for a Fellowship, Ph.D. level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Canadian Universities. The scholarship will end on October 17, 2022.

Degree Level:
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowships Program, Canada 2022/2023 is for people who want to do PhD-level fellowship programs at universities in Canada.

Available Subjects:
This scholarship is open to anyone who has studied anything.

Benefits of a scholarship
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council will provide selected students with a grant of $45,000 per year for two years.
Eligible Nationalities:
Canada only.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to be considered for this scholarship, as of the application deadline for the year in which you apply, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a protected person under a section of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada). You must also have a doctorate or anticipate having one in one of the research areas supported by NSERC as of the application deadline.

Additionally, each academic year, you are only permitted to apply for one scholarship (Master’s or Doctoral) or fellowship through NSERC, CIHR, or SSHRC.

Previous postdoctoral fellowships from NSERC, CIHR, or SSHRC are not permitted (including a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship).

Prior to the application deadline, you should have finished all of the requirements for your doctoral degree.
ou will only be granted an exemption from the doctoral degree completion eligibility period if you meet one or more of the following conditions:

NSERC will add up to three years to your eligibility period if you have worked full-time in industry or government for at least six months after getting your Ph.D. Experience in an academic institution or its affiliated hospitals, research institutions, or other laboratories will not be taken into account.
If you got your Ph.D. after completing a clinical residency program that wasn’t focused on research, NSERC will let you stay eligible for up to three more years.
If you had a big break in your career within two years of getting your Ph.D. because of family, medical, or parenting issues, NSERC will let you stay eligible for up to three more years.
If you have a baby or adopt a child within two years of finishing your Ph.D. and becoming the main caregiver, NSERC will let you stay eligible for up to six more years.
