Nursing Jobs in New Brunswick Canada for Internationally-Educated Nurses (IENs)

With job opportunities in either official language, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and personal support workers are in high demand in New Brunswick.

The Province of New Brunswick makes it a priority to recruit, support, and keep these important medical professionals.

To fill nursing employment openings, the Province is also collaborating closely with a number of New Brunswick firms.

The IEN Navigation Service

In order to practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) in New Brunswick, an internationally educated nurse (IEN) must complete a 12- to 24-month course.

The IEN Navigation service in New Brunswick offers free, individualized, client-centered service to IENs.

The service offers advice on overcoming the following major obstacles that candidates may experience while pursuing licensure:

1. The NNAS, or National Nursing Assessment Service

2. Provincial competency tests for admittance into practice;

3. The province's available bridge initiatives; and

4. Provincial oversight organizations.
