American requirements for Canadian travel nurses

Follow these instructions to get your Canadian passport if you are a Canadian nurse who wants to work as a travel nurse in the US and needs a visa.

1. Travel nursing visa: The TN Status enables nurses from Canada to work in the US. Your trade NAFTA visa will be sponsored by American Mobile, valid for up to three years, and renewable.

2. Results of passing the NCLEX-RN: If you haven't previously done so in Canada, our advice on how to apply for the test will help. For a VisaScreen Certificate, you must obtain passing NCLEX RN results.

3. VisaScreen Certificate: In order to be eligible for a TN Visa, you must possess a current VisaScreen Certificate issued by I.C.H.P. (a division of CGFNS).

4.US Nursing License: Applicants must be eligible to get an RN license in the state where they wish to work. Because of reciprocal agreements between some states and Canada, nurses do not require a nursing license from those states to practice there.
