Online education is becoming more and more popular, especially in Canada. It shouldn’t be a surprise, since technology is always getting better, but why is this happening? Everything is easy: online education makes it possible to learn in controlled settings. Students could be in any place. Someone from a small country far away, for example, might want to get a degree from the best, most well-known university in the world. Unfortunately, moving there to study there requires a lot of work and money. Some people can’t pay for it. This is where these kinds of schools come in since they are cheaper and just as good. But, why Canada?
More and more students look for a list of accredited online universities in Canada because this country has some of the best places to get an education. Even though they are online, their degrees are highly respected, and if you study there, you’ll learn a lot. 1. The University of Yorkville
Yorkville University is a private school in New Brunswick, Canada, that has been teaching professional skills since 2004. YU’s online course catalog is small but varied, with four undergraduate programs and seven graduate programs in areas like counseling psychology, interior design, psychotherapy, social justice, and educational leadership, among others.
The Bachelor of Business Administration for undergraduates is one of YU’s best programs. It lets you specialize in accounting, project management, energy management, or supply chain management. The masters in counseling psychology is another popular choice. It is taught entirely online, but at the end of the program, you have to do a live and hands-on practicum that lasts about 30 weeks.
2. IBU (International Business University)
International Business University is a one-of-a-kind institution. It is an independent, not-for-profit school that focuses on “next-generation” business education and uses a curriculum that prepares students for the needs of a business ecosystem that is changing quickly.
IBU only has one program: a bachelor of commerce. This program takes eight semesters and covers a wide range of important business skills, including applied economics, marketing and sales, negotiation skills, tech literacy, market research, project management, and more. For a truly well-rounded business education, the program also includes courses like contemporary world history, culture and design thinking, and politics and government relations that help students understand the cultural and social forces that shape the international business landscape.
3. Canada’s Royal Military College
Officer cadets for all parts of the Canadian Armed Forces are taught and trained at the Royal Military College (CAF). The college in Kingston, Ontario, started its distance learning program in 1997 to help people in the military meet the unique time needs of their jobs. So, most people who can sign up for RMC Online are members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), their spouses, and civilians who work in certain federal government departments, like the department of defense. As visiting students, students from certain other universities can take RMC courses. However, the credits they earn at RMC will not count toward their degree at their home university.
Through RMC Online, students can choose from a variety of undergraduate and graduate certificate and degree programs, such as in military arts and sciences, public administration, military leadership and management, war studies, and a master’s in business administration.
4. Université TÉLUQ:
Université TÉLUQ is the only French-language university in North America that offers all of its courses through distance learning. It is also the only distance university in Quebec. It was started in 1972 as a university for people who only wanted to learn from home. It was called Telé-université. Since then, it has grown a lot and now teaches 18,000 students at home and on campuses in Québec and Montreal.
TÉLUQ offers 430 courses in 125 programs in accounting, economics, human resources, law, management, and communications. It also offers courses in computer science, education, environment, humanities, languages, and sciences. Students can get a certificate or degree in more than one area of study with a multidisciplinary BA. There is also a course that teaches how to make online education work well.
5. Lakehead University
Lakehead is a public university in Northern Ontario that is proud of its friendly student environment, commitment to Indigenous students, and small class sizes that make learning more personalized.
The university has two fully online programs for undergraduates. The first is a three-year “general” BA that is mostly for older students and is meant to give them a lot of freedom in choosing their courses. The second is a three-year Bachelor of Arts in history.
