Canada university Dubai Mission and Vision
Our Vision
Canadian University Dubai is dedicated to giving students an international academic experience that is guided by the highest standards of education and business ethics. This adds value to the personal and professional lives of its graduates and the communities it serves.
Our Mission
Canadian University Dubai promotes learning, research, and application from a Canadian point of view. This is based on an appreciation and respect for the UAE's diverse culture and values.
Our first-of-its-kind approach
Canadian University Dubai (CUD) opened in 2006 to bring the world-class Canadian education system to the busy city of Dubai. As a first-of-its-kind project, CUD was made to help UAE society in a meaningful and long-lasting way.
Our Canadian roots
CUD was started by a partnership between Centennial College and Athabasca University, which are both in Canada. These two schools wanted to bring these faraway places together through a shared vision of educational excellence. Building on these early steps, Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, the University Chancellor, and Prof. Karim Chelli, the President, worked together to create Canadian University Dubai.
We grew because we worked with others.
Throughout its history, CUD has built a strong network of Canadian partners, including some of the most well-known and respected higher education institutions in the country. Along with these Canadian partnerships, CUD has worked with universities on five continents to reach more people around the world.
City Walk campus
The next exciting time in the history of our school has begun with the opening of the City Walk campus CUD. We have successfully opened the doors to our expanded, state-of-the-art campus in Dubai's famous City Walk district. This gives us the chance to grow our student body, offer a wider range of courses, and add more high-quality learning and recreation spaces.
