DELAY IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA TRAINING FOR SUPERVISORS AND ENUMERATORS
The Commission wants to let everyone know that the training for Supervisors and Enumerators in Local Government Areas (LGAs), which was supposed to start on April 13, 2023, has been pushed back because of unplanned events. Soon, they will say when the new date is.
All Nigerians can be sure that the Commission is committed to putting on a reliable and generally accepted Population and Housing Census in 2023. All of the necessary preparations are already being made.

NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION 2023 TRAINING UPDATE: TIMETABLE & ALLOWANCES FOR SUPERVISORS AND ENUMERATORS
The National Population Commission (NPC) has released an updated timetable for the training of Supervisors and Enumerators for the upcoming census in 2023. The training schedule includes refresher training for Data Quality Managers (DOM) and Specialized Workforce (SWF) at the state level, as well as the census proper. This post provides an overview of the training dates and allowances for Supervisors and Enumerators.
Training Schedule:
Refresher Training for Data Quality Managers (DOM) and Specialized Workforce (SWF) at the state level: April 3rd through April 6th, 2023.
Supervisors and enumerators will get training on how to number buildings and list households from April 25 to April 30, 2023.
Census night will be May 2, 2023.
Proper Census: May 3rd through May 6th, 2023.
Pay for supervisors and people who count: The National Population Commission has also said what the Supervisors and Enumerators will be paid for attending the training classes and the census.
Supervisor Allowances:
Feeding: N2,000 x 5 days = N10,000
Transport: N20,000
Training Allowance: N65,000
Total: N95,000
Enumerator Allowances:
Feeding: N2,000 x 5 days = N10,000
Transport: N20,000
Training Allowance: N50,000
Total: N80,000
The National Population Commission has put together a plan for training Supervisors and Enumerators for the 2023 census and given them information about their pay. This information is very important for everyone concerned to plan and get ready for the upcoming census activities.
The National Population Commission has turned on its e-recruitment platform, which will be used to hire temporary workers for the 2023 national population and housing census. Nasir Isa-Kwarra, who is the head of the National Population Commission, made this clear when he spoke at the launch of the portal in Abuja. He stressed how important it is for the census to be done by the best people possible.
Inuwa Jalingo, who is in charge of the Census, said that the Commission expects to get over 25 million job applications and that the process needs to be competitive, fair, and clear. "The goal of e-Recruitment is to get applications from all over the country, reduce bias, and make sure that all qualified Nigerians have an equal chance to apply and be hired, and that no one is left behind," he said.
