Bay Atlantic University Updates 

Bay Atlantic University is a private, non-profit university in Washington, DC. Its campus is in the city's center, just a short walk from the White House, and it serves both US and foreign students. 

About History

In 2019, Big Data Analytics and Cyber Security were added as new graduate degree options at BAU. When BAU was first started up in 2014, it was called BAU International University. This name was used for BAU until January 2019, when it was changed to Bay Atlantic University.

Education

We are a part of BAU world, which is a world network of colleges and universities. Berlin (Germany), Nicosia (Cyprus), Batumi (Georgia), Istanbul (Turkey), Puebla (Mexico), Kyiv (Ukraine), Hanoi (Vietnam), and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) all have BAU Global universities. There are also research centers in Rome (Italy), Cologne (Germany), Hong Kong (China), Toronto (Canada), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Silicon Valley (United States). Being part of this worldwide network of colleges and universities gives our students the chance to study abroad for a term or two at any of these places.

At Bay Atlantic University, we put a lot of effort into critical, disciplined research. As scholars who also work in their fields, our professors do study in many different areas. BAU encourages and supports these efforts, which help people share different points of view and come up with new ways to solve social and environmental problems around the world.

Services Providers of housing

Island Condos, the connected dorm, is in a very busy and growing neighborhood. There are many places to shop, eat, grab a quick bite, or grab a cup of coffee that are all within walking distance. 

The area is full of bookstores, art galleries, and pop-up shops that tenants can check out. There are public basketball courts, tennis courts, skate parks, and open parks all around the area.

What a library does

The BAU Library has a small physical collection and a big online one. Keeping in mind that the area around Washington, D.C. has a lot of information and libraries, BAU keeps its actual collection to help students "discover" materials that faculty members use in their own fields.

Medical care

BAU wants students to be healthy and happy while they are here and after they leave. So that we can do this, we offer both health and wellness programs and counseling to our students. For both short-term and long-term success, it is important for everyone to take care of themselves and live a good life. 

Life on campus as a student

Just two blocks from the White House, BAU is in the political and cultural heart of the nation's capital. The Global Policy Institute, or GPI, is also based at BAU. The GPI is a well-known think tank that studies energy problems, education, economics, global affairs, and international security.

Accreditation

The Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) in Washington, D.C. has given Bay Atlantic University (BAU) permission to function as a college.
