When Is Waec Starting Date May/June 2023/2024

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the schedule for the May/June exams for school students in 2023. So, everyone who wants to take the WASSCE in 2023 should look at the schedule below.

The council has also said when WAEC will start and when it will stop. I've also included a PDF of the WAEC 2023 schedule in this post. Click here to get the file.

When will the WAEC of 2023 begin?

The WAEC exams start on Monday, May 8, 2023, and end on Friday, June 23, 2023 (for Nigerian students), according to the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates, 2023/2024. General Mathematics will be held on a date to be announced, and the English Language will be held on that same date.

All applicants are encouraged to get started on their exam prep right once.

May/June WAEC Timetable

The WASSCE timetable for all West African nations (Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone) whose candidates will take the exam is available here.

Nigerians only

The graphic below is a portion of the 2023 WAEC Timetable and is only intended for applicants from Nigeria. According to the schedule, the WASSCE for Nigerians will begin on May 8 and end on June 23, 2023.
