English and Math's set for Sept 13, 20… here’s 2021 WASSCE Timetable 

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) just released the plan for the 2021 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which is set to begin on August 16.

Patrick Areghan, who is in charge of WAEC in Nigeria, said earlier that about 1.6 million people are expected to take the test this year.

A further breakdown of the candidates shows that there are 792,620 men, or 50.36 percent, and 781,169 women, or 49.64 percent.

This year's test has a total of 197 papers, which are spread out over 76 different topics.

The test is supposed to last until October 8, but WAEC said it would end on September 30 in Nigeria.

Before the much-anticipated exercise, TheCable Lifestyle looks at some of the most important parts of the schedule.

Math (essay and objective) is on the schedule for September 20, and English Language (essay and objective) is on the schedule for September 13.

The plan also said that Physics (essay and objective) will be on September 15, and Chemistry (essay and objective) will be on September 28.

The dates for the Government, Literature in English, and Geography tests are September 22, 16, and 30.

On September 28, students will take tests in Christian Religious Studies (CRK), Islamic Studies, and West African Traditional Religion.

The COVID-19 procedure, which was put in place to stop the spread of the new disease, will be followed for this year's test.

The test was supposed to happen in May or June, but because of the coronavirus outbreak, it had to be moved.
