 Federal Scholarship Board – Nigerian Scholarship


The Nomination Computer Based Test (CBT) for the Federal Government Scholarship Award for 2022–2023 is open to interested and qualified Nigerians and is being sponsored by the Honourable Minister of Education (HME), Mallam Adamu Adamu.

Criteria for FSBN Scholarships\

The following are the requirements for the Nigerian award:

1. Candidates for postgraduate study must hold a first degree with at least a Second Class Honours Division. The applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a federal or state university.

2. All other applicants (undergraduate, higher-level diploma, and non-degree) must be enrolled full-time in their second or later year at a Federal or State University, Polytechnic, Monotechnic, or College of Education.  

3. All undergraduate scholarship applicants, including those who are physically challenged, must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 on a five-point scale. 

5.0 on a 7-point scale, a (5) point scale, or its equivalent.

4. On a scale of 4.0, all NCE and HND applicants must have a CGPA of at least 3.5.

Important Information


1. The scholarship is valid in Nigeria and begins at the start of the academic year.

2. Neither may it be used for part-time studies nor concurrently with another Award.

3. While receiving the prize, changing your course or institution is not permitted.

1. Log onto the Education.gov.ng website of the Federal Ministry of Education.

2. On the homepage, select the Federal Scholarship Board ICON:

4. Finish the online application form.

Print the examination slip in step 5.

Double entries will not be accepted.
