The Ministry of Education has set Monday, January 9, 2023, as the official date for the resumption of all schools. This is done in order to maintain compliance with the authorized academic calendar for the 2022–2023 academic year for all academic activities.

All schools, including Unity schools (federal and state government institutions), must adhere to the resumption date stated above.

All Federal Government Colleges (unity schools) are to resume operations as follows, according to the federal ministry of Education:

Sunday, January 8th, and Monday, January 9th, 2023: Junior Secondary School (Day and Boarding Students)

Sunday, January 8, and Monday, January 9, 2023, are senior secondary school days for day and boarding pupils.

All public universities must resume classes as soon as their respective school management gives the go-ahead.
