BECE Timetable For JSS3 2023/2024 And Grading System
The NECO has issued the BECE timetable for the basic certificate test (JSS 3). The examination will start on Monday, May 15, 2023, and end on Friday, May 26, 2023, according to the Council.
Candidates who are wondering when Junior WAEC 2023 will begin should know that the exam will begin on May 15, 2023.

Take note of the following before taking the BECE 2023 exam:
1. Practical tests in business studies and basic science and technology (BST) should be given in groups when there are many candidates and insufficient equipment to accommodate everyone. The practical exam, however, should end no later than 5:00 p.m. For business studies, computers can take the place of manual typewriters.
2. Candidates who are blind or albino will receive an additional 30 minutes in all topics.
3. For the exam, blind candidates must use an OBR Customized Braille Sheet provided by NECO.

SCHOOLS AND CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
* Practical in Business Studies as well as Basic Science & Technology (BST) should be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go round. However, the practical examination should not exceed 5.00pm. Computers can be used in place of Typewriters for Business Studies.
* Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30mins extra time in all subjects.
* Blind Candidates must make use of NECO-supplied OBR Customised Braille Sheet for the Examination

BECE Grading System
NECO conducts for Federal Unity Colleges and other allied institutions. BECE certificate replaces the primary school certificate as the first school leaving certificate.
The BECE grading system is as follows:
A – Distinction
B – Upper Credit
C – Lower Credit
P – Pass
F – Fail
