Examination Malpractice

Exam cheating is a problem in the education systems of all countries, including Nigeria. This is any wrongdoing done on purpose that goes against the rules of an exam and is meant to give a candidate an unfair edge or, more often, to hurt a candidate.

Cultism

This is a big social problem in Nigerian colleges and universities since their actions and ways of running are usually kept secret. Cultism is a type of group whose activities are not only kept secret from other people but also happen at strange times and often go against the rules and values of everyday life.

Dressing in a rude way

It is an example of a social vice because it goes against the rules and ideals that most people agree on. Dressing in an indecent way just means showing your body to the public on purpose.  It is also called being too bold.

Drug Abuse/addiction

This is the use of psychoactive drugs, like alcohol or illegal drugs, in large amounts to make the brain feel good. These drugs aren't used in medicine.

Stealing

This is taking something that is not yours. Both old and young people do things like this. People are no longer happy with what they have and want what other people have.

Pre-marital sexual behavior

It's a sexual relationship between two people who are not married. Because it is dangerous, it goes against the rules and ideals of society. Some of the risks are a high number of abortions, unplanned pregnancies, being a single parent, misusing the body, and so on.

Causes of Social Vices

Peer pressure is one of the main reasons why young people do bad things. Students spend more time at school or at home with their friends.

Broken Homes: These are homes that aren't built right because of things like divorce, split, the death of a parent, or being born out of wedlock. Divorce makes children feel bad, which has a big effect, and one of the effects is that kids from broken homes are more likely to do bad things.

Poverty: People think that being poor is a disease that can make people do things that are against the law. It is the state of being very poor, which means being of low quality or not having enough.
