Rivers State University

Rivers State University (RSU) Port Harcourt was founded in October 1980 from the Rivers State College of Science and Technology, which was founded in 1972. It is in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, which is in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Port Harcourt is the capital of Rivers State. 

Rivers State University is the first Technological University in Nigeria. It is also the first State University in Nigeria's Niger Delta area that is owned by the government. "Excellence and Creativity" is the University's slogan. About 1,800 people work at the University, and more than 28,000 people go there. The only language taught in the school is English.

Rivers State University has made STRAMP, which stands for Students Records Access Management Portal, a new online tool. The main goal of STRAMP is to let students and graduates of the school request a copy of their Transcripts online without having to be there in person.
