Details of the scholarship:
The DSI and NRF are happy to announce a call for new applications for DSI-NRF Postgraduate Student Funding for the school year 2023.
All continuing students who are qualified for funding for a second or third year must submit a Progress Report, not a new application.
The scholarship program will assist postgraduate students in important areas for the continent, including African Heritage, Water-Energy-Food Nexus, Smart Economy, ICT, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and Health. These students will directly help build a group of young leaders who want to play a key role in making Africa's economy more integrated and help it grow faster, which will have good effects on all of its countries.
Be a member of any African country other than South Africa and live there.
Be thirty-two (32) years old or younger on December 31 of the year you apply for the doctoral scholarship. Plan to start full-time doctoral studies at a public university in South Africa the following academic year after the year you apply.
