 Study-In-Africa: South Africans can apply for the Vodacom Bursary Scholarship Programme in 2023/2024


The Vodacom Bursary Programme is a merit-based scholarship for full-time first-year, second-year, or third-year students who want to study or are already studying in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math but may not have the money to do so.


Vodacom is looking for South African students to apply for its Bursary Scholarship Programme for 2023. 


For students enrolled in any of South Africa's tertiary institutions, the programme pays for their full registration, tuition, accommodation, textbooks, meals, and other expenses.


There are a number of other scholarships that offer full scholarships and monthly allowances in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Here are some ideas you might want to look into;


The 2022 University of Michigan-Dearborn Undergraduate Scholarship in USA offers full scholarships and a yearly stipend of $10,000.

The 2022 DAAD Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship to Study in Germany offers Full Scholarships and €12,444 stipends annually.

Information about the scholarship: This is an academic Merit Bursary for full-time first-year, second-year, or third-year students who are studying or want to study in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics but may not have the money to do so.


The programme offers tuition, accommodation, a meal allowance, a laptop, a cell phone, an orientation workshop, work experience through a structured vacation work programme, work readiness skills training to prepare final year bursars for the workforce, and full access to Wellness Programme (ICAS) services for successful applicants.

Needs for a scholarship:

To be selected for the Vodacom Bursary Scholarship Programme, you must:


Have been born in South Africa.

Full-time student study at a South African college or university

Pass Grade 12 without a problem by getting 70% or more in all subjects

Have a grade point average of at least 65% or higher if they are in their first year of college or higher.

Be in your first year or higher if you're studying at an accredited South African college or university and meet all of the above criteria.

Details of the scholarship:

The President's Awards are given to students who have done well in school and won big scholarships in the Killam doctoral or Tri-agency doctoral competitions. They are meant to show appreciation for their hard work.


The award will pay for up to two years of full-time programme tuition fees, but not other fees.
