On March 8, 2018, the leaders of Atiba University, Oyo, led by Alhaji Abdulrahman Idris (BOT Chair), and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, led by the Vice Chancellor and the Principal Officers, met at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, to plan a practical road map for the growth and development of Atiba University. For a five-year probationary term, OAU will be in charge of the academics and running of the university. OAU will give advice from experts on some of the most important academic and administrative problems. The decision of OAU was made on purpose because OAU has a long history of academic excellence and a high standard of behavior that is expected to guide and help the new school grow into an academically mature institution.
